Development at Elim
Elim Housing’s developments are very varied and we have created a portfolio which is mainly new build. We house single people who are ready to move on from supported accommodation, provide general needs family homes and have recently completed on two Gypsy & Traveller sites. Our scheme tenures are mixed with some homes for social rent, some for intermediate rent, some affordable rent and some shared ownership.
We are currently a preferred development partner with Bristol City Council, Gloucester City Council, South Gloucestershire Council and North Somerset Council. We are also a member of the West of England Housing Development panel.
We endeavour to utilise all funding sources available to us to carry out our development work. This may include funding from the Homes and Communities Agency, Local Authorities, Partnership Working and Joint Ventures. We also seek to establish funding agreements with other providers of capital grants, eg Local Authorities. Our developments often also require an element of private finance. This finance may be derived from our own reserves or through loan agreements.
