Travel Smart, Travel Green!

Travel Smart, Travel Green!

Methods of sustainable travel, like walking, cycling, using public transport or car sharing don't just lead to a cleaner and healthier environment. Travelling 'green' improves fitness and stress management, saves you money and time, makes roads safer and improves mental health and wellbeing.

Walk your way to health!

Walking just 30 minutes a day can alleviate stress and fatigue, increase attention and decision making, keep weight in check, lower risk of heart problems and improve blood pressure.

Many of Elim's properties and schemes are surrounded by fantastic walks - many of which are listed on the Bristol Ramblers website: http://www.bristolramblers.org.uk/

For walks outside of Bristol, why not check out http://walkit.com/ or download the walkit app for journey planners and tips and tricks for going green.

Go green, go cycling...

The Avon cycleway is an 85 mile circular route taking in picturesque villages, historic landmarks and splendid landscapes. Tackle climate change, improve health and get to know your city!

Whether you're after a quiet country lane or busying around the city, check out the websites below for cycle routes:

Hop on the bus!

All of our properties and schemes have a wide range of popular public transports, many of which are served by First Bus. You can book tickets, check routes and bus times on their website: https://www.firstgroup.com/

Share the expense, share a car.

Car sharing is when two or more people share a car and travel together. This usually means sharing the cost and is better for the environment as only one vehicle is used.
