Ron Jones House

Ron Jones House

Ron Jones House is a low level needs supported housing project based in the centre of Bristol for single males. We focus on developing clients support needs to move on and live independently.

The support we provide

We help clients from all backgrounds with low to medium support needs.

We work in a psychologically informed way, taking a holistic approach so that a whole picture is formed of the clients support needs which are then developed in their support plans in the form of an Outcome Star.

We work with partnership agencies such as workplace and training providers to improve employability prospects, mental health, financial and housing to look at maintaining wellbeing and independence.

Residents usually stay at Ron Jones House for between six and eighteen months with the average being just over nine months. This is dependent on their support needs.

The accommodation

We are a 42 bed project with shared communal facilities.

Each room has a single bed & mattress, curtains, carpet, built in wardrobe, small table and chair plus a wash basin.

Up to seven clients are in a block who have the use of a toilet, shower and a large kitchen.

We also have a laundry room for clients to do their washing and drying which is open six days a week 9am – 9pm.

Ron Jones House is a great place to live because...

We have IT room with Wi-Fi to enable access from your room. We also use this room for things like Acupuncture and Art Therapy classes.

We have a lounge with access to 24 hour TV and a games table where residents can play pool, table tennis or air hockey.  We hold monthly resident meetings which are used as an opportunity for clients to tell us what they want and how change can be made.

We also have bike storage facilities.

How to apply

We take referrals from the Housing Support Register through the council’s Housing Advice Team or a referral from another support provider who feel that you are eligible for lower level support.

Unfortunately we do not take self referrals for our project.
