Welcome to Taylor House. We are a supported housing service based in Matson, Gloucester providing accommodation based support for vulnerable homeless people with complex, chaotic and high level needs.
The support we provide
Taylor House houses and supports single people with complex and high level support needs. We can also work with a maximum of four couples at any one time.
We provide a high level support service which includes:
move on planning,
education, training & employment.
Referrals are also made to other agencies for additional support when appropriate.
Support is provided through 1:1 support sessions, group sessions and Skills for Life workshops.
All residents in the service have a designated keyworker and support is adapted to meet the needs of individual residents. Our staff team work in collaboration with other agencies in providing support to residents. All residents have individual support plans which are based on goals set following the completion of an Outcomes Star which is reviewed on at least a monthly basis.
You can stay in the service for up to 6 months.
There are 3 blocks which make up Taylor House - Oak Gardens, Yew Gardens and Beech Gardens.
Oak Gardens includes 8 single bedrooms with use of shared bathrooms and kitchen.
Yew Gardens has a mix of properties. There are:
Two x 3 bedroom apartments with single bedrooms and shared bathrooms, living area and kitchen.
Two x 4 bedroom apartments with single bedrooms and shared bathrooms, living area and kitchen.
2 x self-contained one bedroom apartments.
Beech Gardens includes 6 self-contained one bedroom apartments.
All rooms include a bed & mattress, wardrobe, chest of drawers and fridge. Some rooms also contain a sofa and table & chair.
This is a great place to live because....
Our staff team is on site for 7 days per week, 365 days per year. A security company provides an overnight security service to make sure that both residents and the building are safe when staff are not on site.
There is a large rear garden which also contains a lockable bike shed and smoking shelters. An emergency phone is available to enable residents to contact Elim Housing’s out of hours service when staff are not on site.
Taylor House provides a food shop called FareShare which operates from 2pm until 3pm daily. The shop operates at significantly reduced prices to residents on very low incomes. The food shop is managed by residents and any money made from the shop goes directly back into improving the support services and resident activities provided at the project.
A communal lounge provides 4 computers for residents to use with Internet access, a television and a pool table.

All other referrals come through Gloucester City Council or Cheltenham Borough Council’s START processes.
