Are you interested in gaining valuable experience, informing decisions, and shaping Elim Housing Association’s services?

We want tenant’s views and insight to inform decision making at Elim and are seeking Elim tenants to become members of our committee structure.

If you are interested in improving services for all our customers and willing to give your insight and views, we are keen for you to help direct us over the coming years.

What is the Development and Assets Committee?
The Development and Assets Committee is one of the three committees of the Elim Board. It makes sure that we are delivering our plans for growth, the development of new homes and maintenance of our homes. It also ensures Elim’s properties meet the required quality standards and all health and safety requirements.

All our committees focus on making sure that we have the right culture and systems to deliver effective housing and support services. Members focus on improving services based on performance data and customer feedback.

The Committee meets four times a year either online, or in person at the Elim head office.

What skills, abilities and knowledge are we looking for?
We are looking for someone with an interest in housing and improving Elim’s services. If you can have an enthusiasm to understand our business and strategic plans and bring a tenant view or insight into our services, we are keen to hear from you.

While we welcome customers with experience or knowledge of property, stock condition or health & safety, but this experience is not essential. It is more important that you share the values of the organisation and are willing to bring your views to the Committee. Training is provided.

We will pay your expenses, including IT, childcare, and transport. We offer an excellent opportunity to develop new skills and knowledge to enhance your CV.
