Elim Residents Guaranteed Interview for Maintenance Roles

Since April 2024 we have started making some changes to our repairs and maintenance service. This has included the introduction of new contractors across all the areas where we have homes. Instead of one single contractor covering the majority of our customer’s homes, we will be working with a range of companies who operate in different geographical locations or specialise in different trades, with an aim to improve our customers’ experience of Elim’s repairs and maintenance service over the year ahead.

We have recently begun working with South West based property maintenance company ‘First 4 Repairs’, and are pleased to offer all Elim residents who apply for a role with them a guaranteed interview.

First 4 Repairs currently have numerous roles available;

Job Role:  Property Maintenance Operative

Type: Full time and permanent, South West based

Salary: Based on experience and qualifications

The successful candidate will be able to complete small repairs across trades, including, Carpentry, Plastering, Tiling, Plumbing, Groundworks, Roofing, Painting and Decorating They should be able to work within a team or on their own, work safely inline with the company health and safety policy, and provide excellent customer service and standards of work. Previous experience of working in the construction industry, responsive maintenance or social housing would be beneficial.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to carpentry, plumbing, decorating and roofing repairs
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance tasks
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or management
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols

Job Role:  Bathroom Fitter

Type: Full time and permanent, South West based

Salary: Based on experience and qualifications

First 4 Repairs are seeking an experienced bathroom fitter who will be able to complete small repairs across trades, including, Carpentry, Plastering, Tiling, Plumbing, Groundworks, Roofing, Painting and Decorating. They should be able to work within a team or on their own, work safely inline with the company health and safety policy, and provide excellent customer service and standards of work. Previous experience of working in the construction industry, responsive maintenance or social housing would be beneficial.
