Team Leader Supported Housing
Phoenix Place is a large and lively women’s only supported housing project in central Bristol, providing housing and tailored support for up to 55 women, Including pregnant women, and mothers and babies at risk of homelessness. Phoenix Place houses and supports a wonderfully rich and diverse client group of women with varying levels of support need.
We are seeking a highly driven and motivated individual with proven ability or the clear potential to lead a team in the delivery of quality support to vulnerable women, who shares our values and commitment to achieve the best possible outcomes for those we support.
As Team Leader you will be responsible for the operational management of the project, including the line management of the staff team consisting of, supported housing officers and a part time estate officer. You will also take part on an on-call rota providing efficient out of hours service to all of Elim’s customers.
You will have excellent communication skills and place customer service at the forefront of your practice. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to liaise and maintain relationships with stakeholders, both internal and external.
You will work closely and supportively with your team to ensure the highest standard of support is consistently delivered to our clients. The Team Leader will have experience of working with a range of client groups, especially women within the homeless / social work or care sector, with strong housing management skills.
- Previous experience of managing a supported housing service or relevant management / leadership role, including significant experience of leading, managing, and motivating staff.
- Knowledge of support services delivery and understanding of delivering services within a Psychologically Informed environment.
- Up to date knowledge of Safeguarding and Protection from Abuse strategies as they relate to children, young people, and adults, with the ability to identify risk and embed this within the team.
- Working to promote equality, diversity and inclusion within the workplace and service delivery.
- Understanding of the causes of homelessness and social exclusion for vulnerable parents.
- Experience and understanding of housing management issues including rent collection, former arrears, void management, property maintenance and ASB.
