Elim is a Disability Confident Employer

We are pleased to share that Elim have recently signed up to the Disability Confident Employer Scheme as part of the UK Governments nationwide initiative.

The scheme aims to create a movement of change, encouraging employers to think differently about disability and take action to improve how we recruit, retain and develop disabled people.

Developed by employers and disabled people’s representatives, the disability confident scheme is a unique opportunity for us to lead the way in our community by making the most of the talents disabled people bring to the workplace.

We aim to make the most of our membership by;

• challenging attitudes towards disability
• increasing our colleagues understanding of disability
• removing barriers to disabled people and those with long-term health conditions
• ensuring that disabled people have the opportunities to fulfil their potential and realise their aspirations

As a result we hope to draw from the widest possible pool of talent, keep valuable, skilled and experienced colleagues and improve employee commitment by demonstrating that we treat all colleagues fairly.
